Date: 31st Oct 2007 |
On the 30th and 31st of Oct, Minh Long conducted one of its largest training sessions to date in Nam Dinh province (200 km south of Hanoi), organising a technical training session coupled with 4 stroke introduction to 80 members of the Ministry of Interior (Police). Participants representated all provinces from the central of Vietnam, Hue to the north of Vietnam Quang Ninh.
The Ministry of Interior (Police) have been using Yamaha outboards for the last 15 years for patrolling the waterways, transportation of general supplies and most importantly deployed for rescue during natural disasters. Using the E40X and 85A, these engines have proven their reliablity and durability under the harsh usage conditions of the MOI.
The training with which organized by Minh Long, saw the participants taught by Minh Long Engineer Mr Tran Minh Thy, Mr Tetsuo Kono (Chief Representative of Yamaha Marine KL) and Mr Kenji Eng (Market Support Engineer). Topics discussed included:
- Introduction of Minh Long Co. Ltd and Yamaha, their product line up and improvements achieved over the years.
- Introduction of our Marine Diesel Lineup
- Introduction of a Yamaha 4 Stroke Lineup
- Differences between 2 stroke and 4 stroke models.
- Instruction on how to run and Daily Maintenance Checks before operating.
- Illustrate the importance of doing Periodic checks on Outboards
- Q&A games – to ensure an understanding of the material taught.
Mr Tran Minh Thy explains, "Such Training is essential for all users of Outboards to full understand how to better care for the engines that they use every day. More importantly, such training significantly increases the life span of your outboard."
Due to the great success of this event, Minh Long will be planning another session in 2008 to better train the MOI from central city of Danang all the way to the south, Camau.
