Project Details: For our Final CCS Project of 2005 we decided to concentrate our efforts on helping some of the children back in our home city (Ho Chi minh City). In Ho Chi Minh City there are thousands of children that live in Orphanges, Shelters or Special Schools for the mentally disabled. Some Children have been abandoned by their parents or are placed their by the government as their parents are not capable of taking care of their children.On the 18th of August we set out on a donation drive of 5 Schools donating food products such as sausages, meat loafs and other meat products to children who are Deaf, Dumb, blind, Mentally retarded and with genetic disorders. We also gave to children without parents, orphanages and the under privileged. In the end, 154 KG of Food Products were given out benefitting a total of 637 Children. So many of the schools we visited were so thankful and appreciative of this small donation. It was also a very touching experience for our President Mr Sio (3rd Photo), who personally co-ordinated this campaign. We truly believe "Every Child deserves to Smile". |
